The new quercetin formulation contains a form of quercetin that is integrated into the phytosome . The phytosome is made from plant phospholipids. Phospholipids, on the other hand, build our cell membranes. Once quercetin is encapsulated in the phytosome, it can cross the cell membrane and be delivered directly to the cell. Therefore, quercetin is more bioavailable; it is more easily absorbed and used in the body.
Clinical studies have shown 50-fold better absorption compared to conventional quercetin.
